Saheli Womens Group

The aim of Saheli Women’s Group is to promote self-confidence in women, encouraging them to take an active role in community life and helping to overcome social isolation. We create a safe and supportive space where women can come together, share experiences, and develop new skills.

Through our sessions, we focus on improving physical, emotional, and social wellbeing, while also promoting community cohesion at all levels.

Meetings & Activities
🗓 The group meets on the last Wednesday of every month, 11:00am – 1:00pm, but our activities continue weekly throughout the year.
📅 At the start of each year, in January, we work together to create a full program, ensuring it reflects the interests and needs of our members.

Regular Activities Include:

  • 🌿 Health & Wellbeing: Yoga, walks, cycling, and sessions on health issues and self-care.
  • 🍳 Healthy Living: Cooking demonstrations and workshops on nutrition and lifestyle.
  • 🎉 Community Engagement: Visits to local cultural, religious, and leisure events.
  • ❤️ Support & Service: Fundraising events held at the Indian Association Community Centre.
  • 🤝 Building Bridges: Collaborations with groups from other communities, sharing knowledge and promoting awareness of cultural and religious events.

✨ Saheli Women’s Group is more than a gathering — it is a community of women who support, empower, and inspire one another while making a positive contribution to society.
