Luncheon Club

The Luncheon Club is one of the many valuable projects run by the Indian Association Oldham, serving the elder generation of our community. The club was established in September 1994 and has been running successfully ever since.

We meet every Thursday from 11:00am – 2:00pm, where members enjoy:

• 🥗 A freshly prepared vegetarian lunch
• 🤝 Socialising with friends of their own age group
• 💬 Sharing both the joys and challenges of daily life
• 😊 Most importantly, laughing and supporting each other
   

We regularly consult our members to ensure the activities reflect their needs and interests. Based on this, we provide:

• 👩‍⚕️ Guest speakers on topics such as health, welfare benefits, and will-making
• 🎨 Sessions in arts & crafts
• 🧘 Yoga, gentle exercises, and meditation
• 🧠 Brain-stimulating activities
• 💆 Relaxation and massage sessions
   

We also network with other luncheon clubs, inviting them to join us and visiting their centers in return. This allows our members to connect with other communities in the area, fostering friendship and cultural exchange.
