Namaste & Jai Shree Krishna,

My name is Gouri Ghosh, and I am the Secretary of Natraj Dance Academy (NDA) on behalf of the Indian Association Oldham (IAO). Together with Ruchita Sisodia, we proudly run the Academy as volunteers.

Natraj Dance Academy was established in October 2016 with the aim of teaching Bharatnatyam – the traditional Indian classical dance form. 

Our students work towards ISTD examinations, which are structured in three sections:

1. Ancillary Skills – Rhythm, Tala & Music
2. Technical Skills & Performance – Nritta, Abhinaya/Nritya & creative exercises
3. Health & Body Conditioning – Theory and practice files
    

📖 Since our beginning, we have welcomed 25–30 children each term (three terms per year).
🕘 Classes are held every Sunday, 9:30am–12:30pm at Shree Radha Krishna Temple, Oldham.

Students range from 5 to 17 years old, and alongside Bharatnatyam, they also perform Bollywood dances at cultural and religious events.

Our students have performed at events including:

• Oldham Interfaith Forum
• Manchester Mega Mela
• OMBC Christmas Party
• Trafford Center
• Shivratri Celebrations
• International Women’s Day at Shree Radha Krishna Temple
• Rass Garba Competition in Wythenshawe
